How to Watch 'Sunday Night Football' With DISH
Sunday Night Football airs Sunday nights at 8:20pm ET on NBC (check your guide for channel number and availability). Typically, the SNF crew will broadcast a handful of Thursday and/ or Saturday games as well, plus the traditional NFL Kickoff game, which features the defending Super Bowl champ playing on Thursday night to open up the season. This year, that game actually takes place on a Wednesday, and it's a rematch of the last game NFL fans saw, as the New England Patriots travel to the Pacific northwest to see the Seattle Seahawks unveil their newest Super Bowl banner. Sunday Night Football is typically preceded by the studio show Football Night in America, which begins at 7:00pm ET. Football Night in America features highlights and analysis of the Sunday afternoon games, plus news and features.
Who are the Announcers?
The announcers for Sunday Night Football will once again be Mike Tirico, Cris Collinsworth, and Melissa Stark. However, there was some shakeup with the Football Night in America crew, who will hit the road to visit the SNF home team's stadium all season long. Host Maria Taylor returns, as do studio analysts Jason Garrett and Devin McCourty, and NFL insider Mike Florio. But in one of the splashier off-season acquisitions, NBC hired longtime Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin as their new studio analyst. Tony Dungy, Rodney Harrison, Chris Simms, and Jac Collinsworth are all gone this year.
