The mornings are chilly and leaves are turning the color of pumpkins. For sports fans, that can only mean one thing: NBA season is fast approaching. Starting Oct. 6, you can purchase NBA League Pass through DISH and rest easy knowing you’ll get out-of-market games from Oct. 20 through the end of the regular season on April 12. Here is everything you need to know to add NBA League Pass or or NBA Team Pass to your DISH subscription. Not a DISH subscriber? What is NBA League Pass?

NBA League Pass is a subscription service that allows users to watch out-of-market games for NBA teams outside of their local market, all season long. Not only will you be able to follow your favorite team, but when a major storyline changes the overall landscape of the league, you can follow along no matter who is playing. Top matchup of the night isn’t on national TV? You don’t have to miss it. Get a perverse thrill from rooting against your hated rival? NBA League Pass won’t judge you.

NBA Team Pass works the same way, just for a single team instead of the entire league. Live in Denver but want to watch the Lakers? No problem. Moved to Los Angeles but want to follow your hometown Celtics. NBA Team Pass is for you. Spurs fan living in New York? That’s a tough one for the locals, but NBA Team Pass is your friend. If you live in a different city than your favorite NBA team, NBA Team Pass has you covered.

What is included in NBA League Pass?

NBA League Pass brings the most out-of-market live games into your living room. With up to 40 out-of-market games per week, you can catch all of the biggest and best games at home or on-the-go. You can also listen to live radio broadcasts of all NBA games.

However, blackout restrictions apply. This means you won’t be able to purchase NBA League Pass or NBA Team Pass to follow your local team. It also means that nationally televised games won’t be available to watch through NBA League Pass (while games on NBC, ABC, and ESPN are available with most DISH packages, a separate subscription is required for games on Peacock and Amazon Prime Video).

How much is NBA League Pass?

You can purchase NBA League Pass with DISH for $110 for the entire season. Even better, you can pay it as a one-time charge, or split it into four payments of $27.50 each. And the charge will appear on your monthly DISH bill, so you don’t have to worry about forgetting to pay. And even if you’re not at home, you can watch your games with DISH Anywhere, or by authenticating through the NBA app.

You can also purchase NBA Team Pass to watch your favorite out-of-market team for $90, or four payments of $22.50. Team pass will only work for teams outside of your local broadcast market; visit your local team’s site for more information on how to watch local games, as DISH does not carry Regional Sports Networks.

To add NBA League Pass or NBA Team Pass to your DISH subscription, just follow the link. With NBA League Pass on DISH, you can watch up to 40 out-of-market games per week, plus, with America’s Top 120 packages and up, all the nationally-televised games that are not included in the NBA League Pass subscription. What games does NBA League Pass exclude?

NBA League Pass will only include games outside of your local market, not the local team. Also, while nationally televised games on NBC, ABC and ESPN should be included in your DISH subscription, it does not include streaming-only games on Amazon Prime Video or Peacock (those require a separate subscription).

And although you can purchase NBA League Pass or NBA Team Pass with DISH right now, the subscription does not include preseason games. Similarly, playoff games will not be included in your subscription, only regular season games.

Can I watch Amazon Prime Video with DISH?

Yes! While a separate subscription is required, Prime Video subscribers with an internet-connected Hopper device can go to channel 301 to access the app, or just say “Amazon Prime Video” into your voice remote to launch. You can then use your remote to watch all of your favorite content on Amazon Prime Video, including NBA games!
