How to Watch College Football with DISH

After the transformative 2024 season for college football, the new normal is setting in as the 2025 season gets underway. The first-ever 12-team college football playoff was a resounding success, the new-look Big Ten and SEC conferences featured nailbiting suspense all season long, and Notre Dame reasserted itself as a powerhouse program. When it was all said and done, Ohio State emerged on top, reclaiming its place as THE college football program to beat.
However, as the 2025 season begins, OSU is no longer No. 1. That honor belongs to the Texas Longhorns, who open the season as the top-ranked team for the first time in school history. But it won’t take long to establish the top of the pecking order, as Texas and No. 3 Ohio State are scheduled to square off in Week 1 in what’s one of the juiciest opening weekend games we can remember.
This season, DISH has everything you need to watch all the college football action your heart desires. How to Watch SEC Games
*Note: All programming and lineups are subject to change.
With the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners joining the SEC in 2024, the SEC cannibalized itself and wound up without a team in the National Championship game for the second year in a row. But in college football, too much competition is a good problem to have, and there's little doubt that whoever emerges at the top of the SEC pile will have an excellent shot at winning the entire thing.
SEC teams play their games on ESPN, ABC, and the ESPN-owned SEC Network. ESPN and your local ABC affiliate are included in all DISH English packages beginning with America’s Top 120, but to watch SEC Network games, your best bet will be a subscription to America’s Top 120+ and higher. In addition to the SEC Network, America’s Top 120+ includes all of the following networks with college football:
- Big Ten Network
- ACC Network
- FS1
- FS2
- TNT
- truTV
- ESPNU
How to Watch ACC Games
Similar to the SEC, ESPN created the ACC Network so fans can take a deeper dive into teams like Clemson, Florida State, Miami, North Carolina and newest additionas Stanford and Cal. While most ACC games will air on ESPN networks, Notre Dame — which plays an ACC-heavy schedule — will broadcast their home games on NBC. To watch the most ACC football and basketball, subscribe to America’s Top 120+ and higher with ACC Network.
How to Watch Big Ten Games
The newly reconfigured Big Ten is the big dog of college football, with multiple networks getting a piece of the action. With Big Ten national TV rights split between FOX, CBS and NBC, the easiest way to think of Big Ten coverage is to remember each network’s respective windows (this is a general rule, check your “Guide” for each week’s schedule).
FOX – Big Noon (Games air at 12:00pm Eastern)
CBS – Marquee Big Ten Matchup (Games air at 3:30pm ET)
NBC – Big Ten Saturday Night (Games air at 7:30pm ET)
Beyond these games, you can also catch select games weekly on the Big Ten Network, which is available with America’s Top 120+ and higher. Select games will also air on FS1 and CBS Sports Network (available with America's Top 200 package). This year, the Big Ten Championship will air on FOX on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 8:00pm ET.
How to Watch Big 12 Games
Although the Big 12 has jumbo-sized up to 16 schools – they lost Texas and Oklahoma but added Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado and Utah – ESPN, ABC, FOX, and FS1 will still be home to most of their games. However, beginning this season, TNT is now in on the action. Their season-long coverage kicks off Week 1 and also includes two new all-access shows – XII Uncovered and Inside the 12 – on truTV.
How to Watch Mountain West Games
With Boise State claiming the No. 3 seed in the inaugural 12-team College Football Playoff, the Mountain West is clearly the strongest of the non-power 4 conferences. This season, the Mountain West will have 53 nationally televised games – three on CBS, 28 on CBS Sports Network, and 22 on the FOX Sports family of networks.
Other Conferences and Features
While select games from conferences like Mountain West, AAC, and others may air on major broadcast networks, many are now only available with a separate subscription to streaming services like Paramount+ and ESPN+. Thankfully, internet connected Hopper devices can instantly access all of your favorite apps, so you can watch all your subscriptions without having to change inputs or remotes.
