How to Order Deontay Wilder vs. Tyrrell Herndon with DISH

No punches will be pulled when former heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (43-4-1) steps in the boxing ring to take on Tyrrell Herndon (24-5), Friday, June 27 on Pay-Per-View. The PPV begins at 9pm ET live from the Charles Koch Arena in Wichita, Kansas, with the main event scheduled for approximately 11pm ET. Here’s what you need to know to get ready for what should be a heavy-hitting bout. You can order the fight on DISH PPV for $24.99. You can order the fight in one of three ways: By remote on channels 454-530, online or by phone at 1-877-DISH PPV (855-8693.)
Will We See Another Wilder Knockout?
Not even “Iron” Mike Tyson knocked out a higher percentage of his opponents than Deontay Wilder. Of his 43 wins, 42 have come by knockout, a 97.67 percentage that’s the highest in heavyweight history. After beginning his career at 40-0, Wilder faced Tyson Fury in 2018, the first of their trilogy of fights. “The Bronze Bomber” retained his WBC heavyweight title by virtue of their controversial draw in 2018, but gave it up in their 2020 rematch, and has lost three of his last four fights, including his final faceoff with Fury in 2021. Despite his recent slump, the 39-year-old remains one of the most dangerous punchers in boxing.
Can Herndon Step Up?
Tyrrell “Too Nice” Herndon faces the toughest test of his career when he takes on Wilder, who he admitted to “idolizing” throughout his storied career. Although the 6’ 6” Wilder has a three-inch size advantage, Herndon is more stout, having fought at 235 lbs in his previous fight (Wilder weighed an average of 214 across his three most recent fights). Facing an opponent who has fought in some of the most memorable heavyweight fights in the last decade, this is easily Herndon’s biggest bout. But the 37-year-old San Antonio-based fighter sounds ready for some Rocky-esque glory against an opponent whose career is somewhat on the ropes.
