Meet the Cast of 'Euphoria' Season 3

Zendaya as Rue Bennett in Euphoria Season 3

The show’s core ensemble is back to navigate life in their early 20s, while many of the adults in their lives still haven’t fully grown up.

The Returning Favorites

These familiar faces are returning as series regulars:

  • Zendaya as Rue Bennett. The show’s narrator and central character, Rue struggles with sobriety, and trailers for the new season hints that she’ll find trouble with the law while planting the seeds of religious faith. Zendaya has won two Emmy Awards for her portrayal of Rue.

  • Jacob Elordi as Nate Jacobs. Formerly a star football player and abusive boyfriend, the new season will find Nate still dealing with anger issues while he and Cassie take the next step in their relationship. Elordi is one of the show’s many stars whose career has skyrocketed in the four years since Euphoria’s second season, earning an Oscar nomination for his role as the titular monster in Frankenstein and most recently starring opposite of Margot Robbie in the new adaption of “Wuthering Heights”.

  • Sydney Sweeney as Cassie Howard. Euphoria season 3 finds Cassie now engaged to Nate and working as a cam girl. Sweeney has also become a major player in Hollywood thanks to memorable turns in the first season of The White Lotus and the recent hit The Housemaid.

  • Maude Apatow as Lexi Howard. Cassie’s younger sister, Lexi has taken her dramatic talents to Hollywood, and her storyline this season finds her working under a Hollywood producer played by Sharon Stone.

  • Hunter Schafer as Jules Vaughn. Rue’s former girlfriend, Jules has now moved on to art school, but she’s still stuck in her old habits.

  • Alexa Demie as Maddy Perez. Early in season 3, we find that Maddy is now working as an assistant to a talent agent, while renewing her friendship with Cassie…and getting pulled back into her drama with Nate.

  • Eric Dane as Cal Jacobs. Nate’s sexually deviant father – who was turned into the police by his son in the Season 2 finale – Cal is still attempting to have a relationship with Nate (and, based on the trailer, apparently bumps into Jules). Cal is played by Eric Dane, who passed away in February after a battle with ALS.

  • Martha Kelly as Laurie. A former teacher turned drug dealer, the season 3 teaser implies that Laurie has not forgiven Rue for her debt, and is prepared to exact a heavy toll.

  • Chloe Cherry as Faye. A drug addict who is friends with Fezco and Ashtray, Faye will find herself in “bad situations that lead to even worse situations” in the upcoming season.

Season 3 Returning Guest Stars

Many of the minor actors in seasons 1 and 2 will return to Euphoria for guest appearances in the third season. They include:

  • Colman Domingo as Ali Muhammed. Rue’s Narcotic’s Anonymous sponsor, Ali looks to have a bigger role in the show’s new season.

  • Nika King as Leslie Bennett. Rue’s mother who struggles with helping her overcome her addiction.

  • Alanna Ubach as Suze Howard. Cassie and Lexi’s mom, who likes her wine, maybe a little too much.

  • Sophia Rose Wilson as BB. A classmate at East Highland High School who often serves as comic relief.

  • Melvin Bonez Estes as Bruce. Laurie’s husband and enforcer.

  • Paula Marshall as Marsha Jacobs. Nate’s mother and Cal’s wife.

  • Zak Steiner as Aaron Jacobs. Nate’s brother and Cal’s son.

  • Marsha Gambles as Miss Marsha. A waitress at Frank’s Restaurant, Miss Marsha is a recovering addict whose story is based on the real life of actress Marsha Gambles.

Who is New in 'Euphoria' Season 3?

The 2026 season brings a major cast expansion, adding even more heat to an already combustible show. Here are the heavy hitters joining the drama:

  • Sharon Stone: The Hollywood icon known for Basic Instinct and Casino.

  • Rosalía: The Grammy-winning global superstar makes her major acting debut.

  • Natasha Lyonne: The Emmy-nominated star of Russian Doll and Poker Face.

  • Danielle Deadwyler: Critically acclaimed for her powerful lead role in Till.

  • Marshawn Lynch: The NFL legend who’s already proven he can steal a scene.

  • Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje: Known for unforgettable roles on Lost and Oz.

  • Toby Wallace: A breakout talent from Babyteeth and The Bikeriders.

  • Eli Roth: The filmmaker and actor known from Inglourious Basterds.

  • Anna Van Patten: A rising star seen in First Love.

Who Is Not Returning to 'Euphoria' Season 3?

Part of Euphoria’s evolution means saying goodbye to some original stars. Barbie Ferreira (Kat) officially exited the series prior to production. Most notably, the show will also address the absence of Angus Cloud (Fezco) following the actor’s death in 2023.

The Production Shift: A New Aesthetic

Season 3 marks a noticeable departure from the glittery, neon-soaked teen years. The new episodes lean into a darker, more cinematic feel that reflects the characters’ adult lives. Think less hallway chaos, more late-night tension. “There’s an aspect to it that feels like we’re in the wild west,” writer, director, and creator Sam Levinson reveals in the video above.

A New Visual Style

Levinson is reportedly steering the season toward a noir-inspired aesthetic. Expect moody cityscapes, deeper shadows, and a colder color palette that trades high school gloss for grown-up unease.

'Euphoria' Season 3 Soundtrack: Is Labrinth Returning?

Last summer, HBO announced that legendary composer Hans Zimmer had joined Labrinth to score the new season, keeping music at the emotional center of the show. However, in a since-deleted Instagram post last month, Labrinth blasted the show and his record label Columbia, declaring, “I’m out,” leaving his involvement in the third season unclear. Still, if past seasons are any indication, the soundtrack will once again do as much storytelling as the dialogue.

Fan Theories and Trivia

What happened in the time jump?
Fans are already speculating that the five-year gap finds Rue in a very different place. Some believe she’s left East Highland behind in search of a fresh start, while others think the unresolved “debts” from Season 2 will finally come due.

Easter eggs from the trailer
Keep a close eye on the jewelry and tattoos in the new teasers. Fans have already spotted a ring on one character’s finger that hints at a surprise engagement during the years we didn’t see.

For the Cinephiles
Season 3 was hot on both 35mm and 65mm film, giving the show a more expansive, big-screen feel. According to a release from HBO, this makes Euphoria season 3, “the first narrative television series to shoot a significant volume of 65mm film, providing an expanded image on-screen which mirrors the characters’ journeys out of high school into the wider, wilder world.” It’s a visual shift that signals just how ambitious this next chapter aims to be.
