AEW World Championship: Will Ospreay vs Jon Moxley
The story: Will Ospreay reached the top of AEW by defeating Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship at All In. His first pay-per-view defense now comes against Jon Moxley, who believes holding the title does not automatically make Ospreay the best. After several tense encounters between the United Empire and the Death Riders, Moxley intends to test whether AEW's new champion can survive his particular brand of violence.
Why we're excited: This match pits 1 of AEW's best high-flyers against its most dangerous brawler. Ospreay can strike from anywhere, but Moxley only needs 1 opening to drag the champion into a fight he cannot escape. Moxley will answer every burst of speed from Ospreay by trying to slow the match down and make it ugly. Viewers will find out whether Ospreay's new era is truly ready to begin, or whether Moxley can tear it down before it gains momentum.
AEW World Tag Team Championship: Christian Cage and Adam Copeland vs FTR vs The Young Bucks
The story: Christian Cage and Adam Copeland retained against the Young Bucks at All In, but Christian used his loaded brace to help steal the victory. The controversial finish brought the Bucks back for another opportunity, while FTR inserted themselves into the championship picture. Copeland proposed settling everything with chairs, tables, and ladders.
Why we're excited: These 3 teams represent different generations and philosophies of tag team wrestling. The Bucks bring spectacular aerial offense, FTR brings old-school grit, and the champions have more ladder-match experience than almost anyone. Nobody enters a match like this without taking damage, and there may be moments when winning becomes secondary to surviving. Expect broken tables, terrifying falls, and championship drama hanging above the ring.
AEW Women's World Tag Team Championship: The Brawling Birds vs Divine Dominion
The story: Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor defeated Megan Bayne and Lena Kross for the championships at All In, but Divine Dominion refused to accept the loss. Kross recently defeated Hayter after Bayne distracted the champion, allowing Kross to strike Hayter with a metal pipe. Now the champions want revenge in a Chicago Street Fight where almost anything is legal.
Why we're excited: A normal wrestling match could not contain these 4 competitors, so AEW removed the rules. This should be a physical brawl filled with weapons, tables, and 4 competitors who genuinely want to hurt one another. Hayter and Bayne colliding could shake the entire arena, while Windsor and Kross will gladly turn anything within reach into a weapon. This match has all the ingredients to become 1 of the wildest fights of the night.
AEW International Championship: Kazuchika Okada vs Tommaso Ciampa
The story: Kazuchika Okada captured the International Championship at All In, but Tommaso Ciampa quickly stepped forward with a challenge. When Okada attempted to dismiss him, Ciampa attacked the champion and demanded to face the real Rainmaker. Okada accepted while warning Ciampa to be careful what he wishes for.
Why we're excited: Ciampa wanted Okada at his absolute best, and now he has the champion's full attention. This is a battle between Ciampa's relentless aggression and Okada's world-class timing, precision, and devastating Rainmaker. Neither man is interested in earning the other's respect, which means this could become a hard-hitting fight from the opening bell. 1 perfectly timed knee or lariat could end everything in an instant.
AEW World Trios Championship: Swerve Strickland and The New Level or The Demand vs Hangman Adam Page, Bandido, and Brody King
The story: Swerve Strickland and The New Level captured the Trios Championship in the massive Roulette Royale at All In. Hangman Page, Bandido, and Brody King have since earned another title opportunity, but the champions must first defend against The Demand on Dynamite. Whoever survives that match will defend the titles again only 3 days later at All Out.
Why we're excited: Either result creates an explosive matchup. Swerve retaining would reignite his combustible history with Hangman, while a victory for The Demand would create a battle filled with speed and heavyweight power. Bandido can turn the match upside down in seconds, and Brody King can erase that momentum with 1 crushing attack. Either way, Hangman and his partners will be waiting for champions who have already survived 1 major fight this week.
