DISH Hometown Heroes Honors Local First Responders and Healthcare Workers

Promotional art for DISH Hometown Heroes

From EMTs to firefighters to the doctors and nurses who provide aid in our most urgent moments of need, there are plenty of unsung heroes in all of our communities. To honor their commitment and care, DISH wants YOU to nominate your Hometown Hero: a first responder or healthcare worker who is making a difference day-in and day-out in your community.

As part of our commitment to honor everyday heroes, DISH is accepting nominations for the First Responder or Healthcare Worker of the Year from Feb. 1 through Feb. 28. If you know a first responder or healthcare worker who deserves recognition, nominate them today by following this link. Our finalists will be selected on March 1, and you’ll have until March 31 to vote before our winner is announced on April 14.

Because first responders and healthcare workers serve our communities selflessly, DISH wants to reward them with more than just recognition. That’s why—like the winners of our High School Coach of the Year and Military Hero of the Year—the First Responder or Healthcare Worker of the Year will get a prize package worth more than $6,400 in value, including:

  • A DISH Home Theater and Smart Home makeover prize package.
  • An all-inclusive trip to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville furnished by CircleTV. Recipients will also be recognized on Coffee, Country and Cody, plus the Opry live shows.
  • A $100 gift card to dine at Ole Red.

So if you know a first responder or healthcare worker who works tirelessly to help those in need, be sure to nominate them for Hometown Hero this February.
