Nominate a Teacher for DISH Hometown Heroes’ Educator of the Year

Nominate your favorite teacher for DISH Hometown Heroes

With the end of the school year fast approaching, it’s the perfect time to celebrate the teachers and educators who are making an impactful difference in the lives of our children. If you know an educator who is deserving of this recognition, DISH’s Hometown Heroes program wants to reward them with more than just a gold star.

Now through May 26, you can submit your nominee for Educator of the Year through the DISH Hometown Heroes website. From the educators who are teaching young kids their A-B-C’s to the volunteers who run continuing education programs for adults, DISH’s Hometown Heroes is here to recognize the unsung heroes who are helping to lay the foundation for our future.

Like our winners for First Responder of the Year, High School Coach of the Year, and Military Hero of the Year, our Educator of the Year winner will also take home a prize package worth over $6,400. Prizes include:

  • A DISH Home Theater and Smart Home makeover prize package.
  • An trip to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.
  • Recipients will also be recognized on Coffee, Country and Cody, and on stage at the  Grand Ole Opry.
  • A $100 gift card to dine at Ole Red.

So if you know an educator who is making a meaningful contribution in your community, be sure to nominate them as a DISH Hometown Hero before May 26. Finalists will be announced on June 1 and we will reveal our winner of Educator of the Year in July.
