DISH customers take part in TLC’s ‘Season of Giving’ events

What better way to spread holiday cheer than volunteer alongside your favorite TV stars? Last week, DISH customers teamed up with TLC andFeeding America to celebrate the holidays by giving back to their communities. As part of TLC’s “Season of Giving,” volunteers spent a day preparing meals for families at their local food banks in Chicago, Washington D.C., Atlanta and Cleveland, which together serve more than 21 million Americans. Among the volunteers were reality TV stars from TLC’s hit shows, including Amy Roloff from “Little People Big World,” Lori Allen from “Say Yes to the Dress” and Kate Stoltz from “Return to Amish.”

In the aforementioned communities, longtime DISH customers were invited to participate as a token of appreciation for their business over the years. Alongside other volunteers, they lent a helping hand while getting to know some of the TLC family! From sorting cans to packing potatoes, the volunteers rallied to support their local communities by helping to fight hunger, which affects nearly 49 million Americans nationwide.
