These Aren't Your Parents' Baseball Snacks

Closeup of a tray of food and souvenirs that one would find at a baseball game. Items include, hot dogs wrapped in foil, beer, peanuts, chips, baseball, mini bats and pretzels. Horizontal format.

Since the dawn of baseball, fans have been watching from the stands while eating crazy foods such as peanuts covered in cheese or Cracker Jacks covered in butter. OK, maybe not exactly those, but you get the idea. Fast-forward to today and you’ll see how far baseball’s crazy food trends have advanced. Check out some of the latest unbelievable stadium foods we’ve come across for this season.

The Churro Dog

Seriously, this is a thing. A churro. In a hot dog bun. Topped with ice cream, whipped cream and syrup. The Arizona Diamondbacks thought you could use a good boost of sugar during every game. Perfect for that desert heat.

Three-Pound Banana Split

You take 12 scoops of ice cream, a bunch of bananas and toppings, and sprinkle on a little love and you get a helmet full of brain freeze at US Cellular Field, home of the Chicago White Sox.

Fan vs. Food Burger

Time to bring out your inner Kobayashi with this challenge. This 4-pound burger is part of a challenge at the home of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Just to give you an idea, it has eight 8-ounce patties, 32 pieces of bacon and much more. Don’t forget about the pound of fries that come with it. Bloat for days.

Bacon on a Stick

Sure, this sounds normal, but not at Citi Field. You can get Bacon on a Stick with Sriracha maple glaze, dipped in salted caramel or s’mores with chocolate, graham crackers and marshmallows. If I were you, I’d ask for all three at the same time. Why not be adventurous?

Chicken and Waffle Cone

It’s exactly what you think it is: a waffle cone with mashed potatoes, fried chicken and honey mustard. One of the most glorious cones on the planet is waiting at Minute Maid Park in Houston. Now you can skip that trip to KFC you were thinking about. But not the gym. Definitely not after this meal.
