We’re in the thick of Awards season and while the Academy Awards and Emmy’s are voted on by those inside the industry, the People’s Choice Awards allows ordinary people to choose the winners. The egalitarian voting system isn’t the only way the PCAs differ from their counterparts: rather than focusing on movies, TV, or music, the People’s Choice Awards includes all three (plus pop culture), in 45 populist-friendly categories like “Comedy Movie Star of the Year” and “Concert Tour of the Year.”
This makes the PCAs a looser, more comprehensive awards show than any other. Ahead of the 49th People’s Choice Awards on 8:00 PM on Sunday, Feb. 18—a shift from its typical slot late in the year—here’s a look at all of the details for this year’s ceremony, which will air on NBC and E!.

Barbie and Shang-Chi star Simu Liu is hosting.
Who are the Performers?
Lainey Wilson—a double-nominee for Female Artist of the Year and Country Artist of the Year—and Kylie Minogue will perform.
Who is Being Honored?
Adam Sandler will receive the “People’s Icon Award”, while Lenny Kravitz will perform and be honored with the “Music Icon Award.”
