From new (throwback) uniforms to a ton of star players on new teams, the NFL is going to look quite a bit different in 2022. That also applies to the broadcasts; Thursday Night Football has a new home, iconic announcers are on the move, and the league’s international series is expanding yet again.

To help viewers make sense of the new NFL landscape, we’ve put together this handy list of everything you need to know about how to watch the NFL on DISH Network.

How to Watch Thursday Night Football on DISH

After simulcasting Thursday night games since 2017, Amazon Prime will be the exclusive home of Thursday Night Football in 2022. That means you’ll need a Prime subscription to watch out-of-market Thursday games (in-market games will still be available on local affiliate networks, so if your local team is playing, you can still find the game on one of your local affiliates).

DISH subscribers with Amazon Prime will still be able to watch Thursday Night Football using their internet-connected Hopper 3 and other devices. To watch TNF and other Amazon Prime content on DISH without switching inputs, just say “Amazon Prime Video” into your Voice Remote or tune to Channel 301 to access the app, then select the “Sign in and start watching” button and follow the prompts.

Who is the Thursday Night Football broadcast team?

Legendary broadcaster Al Michaels will be the play-by-play announcer for TNF, and he’ll be joined by veteran ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit, who will provide color commentary (don’t worry college football fans, Herbstreit will still be featured on ESPN’s college football broadcasts). Amazon’s new studio show is lining up an impressive roster of former players, as former All-Pro corner Aqib Talib has signed on as a studio analyst, where he’ll join another All-Pro DB, Richard Sherman, newly retired quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Hall of Fame tight end Tony Gonzalez.

How to Watch Sunday NFL Games on DISH

While Thursday games may look quite a bit different this year, the games played on Sunday will be mostly familiar. As has been the case for nearly 25 years, CBS will have the rights to AFC coverage during the afternoon window, while FOX will maintain its Sunday afternoon slate of NFC contests. NBC will continue to be the home to Sunday Night Football, with Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth in the booth and Melissa Stark joining them as sideline reporter.

How to Watch Monday Night Football on DISH

ESPN remains the home of Monday Night Football but its broadcasting team is getting a major overhaul. In a major coup, ESPN was able to sign FOX’s Emmy-winning duo of Joe Buck and Troy Aikman to new contracts for Monday Night Football (FOX veteran Kevin Burkhardt will be their new lead play-by-play announcer, alongside Greg Olsen). While Buck and Aikman are heading into their 21st season together, another famous duo is about to begin their second: Peyton and Eli Manning. The footballing brothers will be back for another season of Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli, aka The Manningcast. How to Watch NFL RedZone on DISH

That may be it for the main broadcast windows, but there’s plenty more NFL action to watch on DISH. NFL RedZone – which features seven hours of commercial free highlights from around the league during Sunday afternoon’s early and late games – is included in the DISH Multi-Sport Pack. For a limited time, you can get the DISH Multi-Sport Pack for free by signing up for packages like America’s Top 120 Plus or higher.

And although NFL Network will no longer carry Thursday Night games, they will have three international games (in weeks 4, 5, and 10), along with a week 15 Saturday triple-header and a Christmas Eve game between the Raiders and Steelers. NFL Network is available with the DISH Multi-Sport Pack and America’s Top 120 Plus or higher packages.

Now that you know how to watch 272 NFL regular season games, go hit the showers. You’ve earned it.
