Christian McCaffrey – RB, San Francisco
Much to the chagrin of those who drafted him first overall in fantasy, star Niners running back Christian McCaffrey has missed the entire first half of the season recovering from an achilles injury. After practicing on Monday, it appears he’ll return for their matchup against the Buccaneers. Because San Francisco has been cautious with this injury, fantasy owners can expect the reigning Offensive Player of the Year to resume his normal workload when he returns.

Jordan Addison – WR, Minnesota
We don’t need to tell you about Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson: He’s the best WR in fantasy, if you have him, you’re playing him. His teammate Jordan Addison is another story. Through eight games, Addison has just 19 catches for 273 yards and two touchdowns (by comparison, Jefferson has 48 catches for 783 yards). However, against the Jaguars’ bottom-two pass defense, we’re anticipating big things on Sunday. Last week, Addison hauled in five catches for 41 yards and a score; we’d expect at least that much against Jacksonville.

Courtland Sutton – WR, Broncos
As with Addison above, we’re not here to give you obvious fantasy picks, we’re here to bring you the deep cuts. Courtland Sutton may not be at the top of the receivers list, but as USA Today points out, “Sutton’s 68 targets are more than double the number of the next closest wide receiver (Lil’Jordan Humphrey, with 32) on the Broncos’ roster this year.” Like last week’s lopsided loss to the Ravens, this game could get away from the Broncos, forcing them to throw a ton late. Conversely, if the Broncos are going to beat their AFC West rival, they’ll need to connect on some big scoring plays, and Sutton is a magician when it comes to hauling in difficult catches. No matter how rookie Bo Nix plays, expect big things from #14 on Sunday.

Dalton Kincaid – TE, Bills
After a somewhat slow start, Buffalo tight end Dalton Kincaid had a season-high 10 targets last week, a number that figures to be similar against a Colts defense that has surrendered the third-most fantasy points this season. Kincaid is also frequently used against zone defense, and wouldn’t you know it, the Colts play the second-most zone D in the NFL. On paper, this looks like a great matchup for the second-year tight end.

Los Angeles Chargers Defense
Despite not having a single player in the top five for tackles, sacks, or interceptions, the Chargers are excelling on defense. A big part of their success is due to turnovers – LA has nine, the fourth most in the NFL. But more than anything, the Chargers do a little of everything. And against a dreadful Titans offense that’s in the bottom three in scoring, LA should have no problem maintaining their top spot in fewest points allowed.
