HGTV’s hit remodeling show Home Town is getting some renovations of its own in 2022.
In addition to the season 6 premiere of Home Town on Sunday, December 26 at 8pm ET/PT on HGTV, Ben and Erin Napier will host an all-new spin-off later in 2022. Home Town Kickstart, the show’s working title, borrows the general idea of Home Town Takeover—the Napier’s other show in which, instead of remodeling a single home, the Napiers help renovate an entire town—and brings it to scale.
The new show finds Ben and Erin, along with other HGTV stars like Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent (The Nate and Jeremiah Home Project); Ty Pennington (Rock the Block); Jasmine Roth (Help! I Wrecked My House); and Alison Victoria (Windy City Rehab), fixing up six small towns across America: Buffalo, Wyoming; Cornwall, New York; Winslow, Arizona; LaGrange, Kentucky; Thomaston, Georgia; and Minden, Louisiana.
According to a press release, each city will have three projects: “refresh the home of a local hero, give a small business a beautiful upgrade and reinvigorate a public space to enhance the residents’ quality of life and engender community pride.” And People magazine will be there to bring additional attention to the unique businesses and characters that populate these close-knit communities.
So if you’re already a fan of the show, 2022 is shaping up to be an exciting year. If you’re not, catch up with Home Town on demand and tune into the Home Town season premiere, this Sunday, December 26 at 8pm ET/ PT.
