Complete Guide to 2025 Super Bowl LIX on FOX

Key art for Super Bowl LIX on FOX

Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, Feb. 9 will be a rerun.

Just like the last time FOX had the rights to the Big Game two years ago, the Philadelphia Eagles will face the Kansas City Chiefs in the climax of the NFL season. The NFC champion Eagles got there by absolutely annihilating their NFC East rivals the Washington Commanders. In their 55-23 victory, Philadelphia tied an 85-year-old record by scoring seven rushing touchdowns in a postseason game. The AFC championship was much closer, but the result was as familiar as the sunrise. For the fourth time in the playoffs, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs eliminated Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills, this time 32-29. Kansas City extended one of the most dominant runs in football history, advancing to the Championship game for the fifth time in six years in their quest to become the first-ever back-to-back-to-back Super Bowl champions.

Super Bowl LIX will air live on FOX (check your DISH guide to find the channel of your local FOX affiliate, and for the 4K feed available on select TVs). Here’s a complete guide to the 2025 Super Bowl. Not a DISH subscriber? Follow this link to find the best offer and subscribe to DISH today!

When and Where is Super Bowl LIX?

The Super Bowl kicks off at approximately 6:30pm ET, with live coverage on FOX beginning at 1pm ET. This year’s game will take place at the Caesars Super Dome in New Orleans, LA. This will be the 11th Super Bowl to be held at the Super Dome in New Orleans, which is now tied with Miami for hosting the most Super Bowls.

Who Won the 2024 Super Bowl?

The most recent Super Bowl was won by Kansas City, who beat the San Francisco 49ers in overtime by a score of 25-22. In fact, it was the second-straight Super Bowl win by the Chiefs, who defeated the Eagles 38-35 in a close, high-scoring game in 2023. Other Super Bowl winners in the 2020s include the Los Angeles Rams in 2022, Tom Brady’s final championship with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2021, and – you guessed it – the Kansas City Chiefs in 2020.

Who is Playing the Super Bowl Halftime Show?

After making an appearance at Dr. Dre’s headlining performance three years ago, Kendrick Lamar has been booked as the lead performer for Super Bowl LIX. It’s a timely performance, as Kendrick is coming off arguably the biggest year of his career, thanks to his Grammy-nominated Drake-diss “Not Like Us,” and the surprise release of his album GNX

As for the national anthem, Grammy winner and former Late Show with Stephen Colbert bandleader Jon Batiste will sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” pregame. New Orleans’ own Trombone Shorty and Christian singer Lauren Daigle will perform “America The Beautiful,” while Ledisi has been tapped for “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” which is often referred to as the Black national anthem.

Who are the FOX Announcers at the Super Bowl?

After playing in a record 10 Super Bowls, Tom Brady will make his return to the Big Game, this time as the color analyst in FOX’s broadcast booth. As he has been all season, Brady will be joined by lead play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt. Tom Rinaldi and Erin Andrews will join the coverage as sideline reporters.
