Get ready for the NBA’s Final Four

The final four of the NBA is set and it’s the nba playoffs semi-final most people predicted at the beginning of the season. In the west it is the matchup that everyone has been waiting for: Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors vs. James Harden and the revamped Houston Rockets. In the east it is Lebron James (and the Cavs) vs the young and surprising Boston Celtics.

Matchup Breakdowns

Warriors VS. Rockets

The two most dynamic and exciting guards in the league will go head to head in what is sure to be a deep 6-7 game series. James Harden, Chris Paul, and Eric Gordon make up a formidable back court for the Rockets with Clint Capela anchoring the paint and finishing off lobs down low. The Houston Rockets led the league in 3 pointers made and the Golden State Warriors were close behind so expect a fast paced, high scoring track meet for 48 minutes. The Golden State Warriors are led by the offensive juggernaut that is Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, and Klay Thompson and come into the series with much more playoff experience as well as a Championship pedigree (Winning two of the last three NBA titles). Houston beat Golden state in the regular season 2 out of the 3 games they played but time will tell if that’s showing of this Western Conference finals matchup.  Get the popcorn ready, this is the kind of series to watch even if you aren’t a basketball fan, it is must see TV. And with DISH you can catch the whole series on your TV or the Dish Anywhere App on your mobile devices.

Fearless prediction: Golden State Warriors in 6 games

 Celtics Vs. Cavaliers

The Eastern Conference Finals matchup will live and die around one man, that man is LeBron James. After a hard fought 1st round series against the Pacers Lebron James and the Cavs barreled through the top seeded Toronto Raptors in a 4 game sweep. The understaffed Boston Celtics were a surprise of this year’s nba playoffs and handled the Philadelphia 76ers in 5 games to reach the Eastern Conference finals for the second year in a row.

For the Cavaliers to win the series LeBron James has to get some support from anyone else on the roster, Kevin Love and Kyle Korver knocking down shots will be instrumental to the Cavaliers moving on to Lebron James’s 7th NBA Finals appearance in a row.

The Boston Celtics without Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward have seemed to find a way to win with head Coach Brad Stevens leaning on young untested players like Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Terry Rozier. If this young Big 3 continue to play the way they have in these playoffs expect a drawn out 6-7 game fight between these teams to reach the finals.

Fearless Prediction: Cleveland Cavaliers in 5 games
