2022 Oscar Nominees on DISH

The nominees for the 94th annual Academy Awards were announced on Feb. 8. The Netflix drama The Power of the Dog leads all contenders with 12 nominations, including nods for Best Picture, Best Actor for Benedict Cumberbatch, Best Supporting Actor for both Jesse Plemons and Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Best Supporting Actress for Kirsten Dunst, along with writing and directing nominations for Jane Campion. Part one of Denis Villeneuve’s sci-fi epic Dune followed with 10 nominations, although he was snubbed for a Best Director nomination. West Side Story and Belfast were next with seven nominations, while King Richard got six nominations, including a Best Actor nod for Will Smith.
