Over the past decade, we’ve witnessed a dramatic change in viewership habits among U.S. consumers. In addition to watching television shows and movies on set-top boxes, Americans are increasingly turning to smartphones, tablets, streaming devices and computers to view their favorite video content. However, we all know switching between devices can be cumbersome.
DISH has simplified the way customers consume their favorite videos with the launch of YouTube on Hopper 3. Now you can seamlessly switch between watching TV and the Internet’s most popular videos without ever changing remotes or inputs – or leaving your couch.
And if that wasn’t enough, DISH expanded the YouTube app to our Hopper with Sling set-top boxes (Updated April 2018).
Forget about crowding around your mobile devices with friends to laugh at the latest viral videos and trying to configure HDMI cords to your TV when you want to follow along with your favorite online workouts. You now have access to all available YouTube videos, including music and original content from creators across the globe, right on your Hopper.
YouTube joins several other apps and features that make Hopper 3 the ultimate entertainment hub, including Netflix, Pandora, Vevo, The Weather Channel and Hopper arcade.
The Hopper 3 also features integration with Amazon’s Alexa, so you can control your TV with only your voice. This is just one of the multitude of technology benefits that DISH offers. Learn more about our different TV packages along with other special offers.
To access the YouTube app on Hopper, go to channel 371 in the DISH programming guide or select the “Apps” button on your remote control. You can also use the YouTube app on mobile devices to cast videos directly to your Hopper.
