Ditch the paper, plant a tree

Planting a tree

Spring has officially sprung, and what a breath of fresh air it’s been to see the world come back to life after a cold winter. While this time of year gets us excited for warmer weather and outdoor activities, it’s also a great time to reflect on all the benefits nature provides.

To celebrate nature and all of its goodness, DISH is taking part in Earth Month by helping the environment, one customer and one tree at a time. We’re teaming up with American Forests to plant a tree for every customer who switches to eBill, our paperless billing system, in the month of April. With just the click of a button, customers can both save a tree and plant a new one.

Every tree contributes to our environment in a big way. According to American Forests, one tree can produce enough oxygen for two people and absorb up to 48 pounds of carbon dioxide each year. By encouraging customers to switch to eBill, we are preventing trees from being cut down, minimizing paper waste and helping to protect and restore forests in the U.S.

In addition to keeping DISH bills from hitting the landfill, eBill helps keep our customers’ personal information secure, allows subscribers to track current and past bills online, and makes paying bills simpler and faster than ever.

American Forests has planted more than 45 million trees since 1990, and with the help of our customers, they can make an even bigger impact. So instead of letting those bills stack up, switch to eBill and help make a difference that will last for centuries to come.
