After experiencing a March without madness and seasons ending without champions, sports are back with a vengeance. With more fans tuning in and betting on games, the stakes are high, the parlays are elaborate and each play means so much more.
Luckily, DISH TV Hopper customers can catch all of the action on the court or in the betting pools this season, because DISH just announced a first-of-its-kind app integration with DraftKings, which allows customers to simultaneously watch games and view live betting odds and fantasy contests on the Hopper platform.
The unique partnership between DraftKings and DISH creates an all-in-one entertainment hub for all your sports needs. DISH TV customers now have the ability to initiate bets and browse contests for NCAA basketball, NBA, and NHL.
Using the app:
The integrated DraftKings experience is available to all Hopper customers*; placing bets is limited to customers living in states where sports betting is available to DraftKings account holders.
DISH TV customers can access the DraftKings app on any internet-connected Hopper family receiver to view betting odds, check out daily fantasy contests, initiate bets and set recordings, all without leaving their current program.
Easily track your parlay by watching any game while checking the over/under of another. Or, you can follow along with the spread of the game you are currently watching, to update, cancel or add any bets on your mobile device when necessary.
The DraftKings app on Hopper may be accessed through the “Apps Menu” and via the DISH Voice Remote by saying “Launch DraftKings.”
Once in the app, customers can choose between “Sportsbook” and “Daily Fantasy” located at the top of the screen. Games are organized chronologically for easy reference.
To initiate a bet:
- Scroll to find the game you’d like to bet on.
- Click the green “Text me a Link” button.
- Enter your phone number on the TV via the DISH remote.
- Click the link sent through a unique text to your phone number to complete your transaction on the DraftKings app from your mobile device.
