Jeff Bridges stars as the titular character in the hit FX series, which returns for its second season with back-to-back episodes on Thursday, Sep. 12 at 10pm ET. This season, Bridges’ Dan Chase is joining forces with former FBI Assistant Director Harold Harper (John Lithgow) as they set out to recover Chase’s daughter Emily (Alia Shawkat) after she’s kidnapped by Afghan tribal leader Faraz Hamzad (Navid Negahban).
Two years ago, the show’s twisty and action-packed first season proved to be a big success for FX (it sits at a stellar 97% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes), and anticipation is high for its eight-episode second season.
