HBO and HBO Max continue to crank out a ton of great new shows, but this April is all about the return of two of their most-acclaimed series. On HBO, Bill Hader’s Emmy-winning Barry returns for its highly anticipated third season on Sunday, April 24. The pitch-black comedy, which centers on a hitman who is attempting to leave crime behind for a new career as an actor, is one of the most tense shows on television – as well as one of the funniest.
HBO Max’s The Flight Attendant likewise straddles multiple genres. Starring former Big Bang Theory breakout Kaley Cuoco, the show’s first season was an intriguing blend of mystery, comedy, and drama. Its first season wrapped up its central mystery in the finale, so it will be interesting to see where The Flight Attendant lands in season 2 when it premieres on Thursday, April 21.
