Frozen Video

If your picture is frozen on the same channel, follow these steps to fix the issue:

 

1. Confirm the source of the issue

- On your DISH remote, press and release the SAT button followed by the Guide button.

 

- If you’re able to see the guide, follow the troubleshooting steps for Black Screen with Guide.

 

- If you don’t see the channel guide, press the Channel Up or Down buttons on the front panel of your receiver. If the channel changes, try troubleshooting your remote.

 

- If the channel did not change, continue to the following steps.

 

 

2. Restart your receiver

 

- VIP/Wally Receivers

- Unplug the power cord of your DISH receiver for 10 seconds, then plug it back in. The reset process may take up to 5 minutes to complete.

 

- Hopper/Joey Receivers

- Be sure to reset the Hopper before the Joey.

- Unplug the power cord of your DISH receiver for 10 seconds, then plug it back in. The reset process may take up to 5 minutes to complete.
