Yes. There is no commitment required, and no activation, disconnect nor restart fees. When you are no longer using your service you can simply stop paying your monthly bill. Your local retailer may charge a fee if you require installation services for your RV or sign up for a different plan.
I only want to use DISH for my RV for a few months a year. Do I have to subscribe to TV programming all year?

Yes, you may use your ViP 211k receiver. The ViP 211z is simply a smaller and lighter version of the ViP211k receiver. The 211z is compatible with the same antenna you used with the 211k receiver, including the Tailgater, Relay, Pathway X1, and Pathway X2.
I have the Trav’ler Antenna and want to use a leased receiver from my house. Will it work?
Yes, the Trav’ler Antenna is compatible with any DISH receiver model. Follow your mobile antenna’s user manual for setup instructions.

I own a boat. What are my options for watching satellite TV from DISH?
If you only watch TV while you’re docked, any of the DISH mobile satellite antennas listed above will work. If you wish to watch TV while you’re on the open water, you will need a marine-compatible antenna system manufactured by KVH. Visit www.kvh.com to learn more or purchase.
Do standard-definition satellite antennas also work?
Yes. Some retailers sell a DISH 500 Tripod Antenna that will support standard-definition programming. In order to get HD programming, you will need an HD mobile satellite antenna.
I have three TVs in my RV. Can I hook all of them up?
Yes, customers can purchase multiple DISH receivers to use in their RV. However, this requires an antenna that can support three receivers.
Are installation services included?
Installation services are not included in a subscription. Many of the DISH-compatible mobile satellite antenna solutions are easily self-installed. Can I watch HD while my vehicle is in motion?
Yes. DISH’s satellite technology allows you to watch HD programming while the vehicle is moving if it is equipped with a compatible auto-tracking antenna. DISH is the only affordable option for in-motion HD viewing.
How do you power mobile satellite TV antennas? Can I run a mobile satellite antenna, DISH receiver, and TV from my vehicle?
Some of the portable antennas including the Tailgater and the Pathway Antennas draw power from the DISH receiver through the coax cable. The receiver requires 110VAC power source. You will need a power inverter to run all of your equipment from your vehicle's DC power supply (110VAC power outlet required). Note if your TV is rated greater than 100 watts, it may require direct connection to the vehicle battery. If you are watching TV from your vehicle for more than a few hours, periodically run your vehicle to maintain battery life. Note, starting your vehicle may temporarily shut off power and require a quick rescan for DISH satellites. For extended use, a portable power generator, power pack or alternative accessory battery is recommended.
Can I have a Hopper® DVR and a Solo HD receiver (models 411, ViP® 211, 211k, or 211z) on one account?
Yes, you can enjoy the Hopper Whole-Home HD DVR at home and still have a Solo HD receiver activated on the same account for your outdoor TV needs.
Can I enjoy DVR service with the Solo HD receiver?
You can add DVR functionality and the ability to record and pause live TV by attaching your own USB external hard drive to the USB port on the back of the receiver. A one-time $40 service fee will apply. The external hard drive must have its own power supply cable and must be rated between 50 GB minimum and 1 TB maximum. Do I need special programming to use my DISH compatible mobile antenna system?
No, most mobile satellite antennas allow viewing of any DISH or DishLATINO® programming package. Some channels, including international programming, RTN, local channels and Regional Sports Network(s) are subject to availability based on your geographical location.
Do I need to subscribe to a second DISH account to use my mobile satellite antenna system?
No, you only need a single DISH account. You can use your DISH home account.
How do I view local channels when I’m travelling?
Locals are subject to availability based on your geographical location. If you are in the same area as your billing address you will be able to view those locals. However, if you travel outside of that area you can view locals in that area by connecting an over-the-air antenna to your receiver. Models 411, ViP® 211, and the 211k already have an over-the-air antenna tuner built into the receiver, so you can simply connect your over-the-air antenna to the back of the receiver. The receiver user manual contains instructions on how to scan in over-the-air channels that your over-the-air antenna is able to receive.
