Ridiculous Moves from Television

TV shows about moving

OK, so moving may not be your favorite thing in the world. We can’t blame you — unpacking and repacking boxes for days on end isn’t exactly the definition of a good time. Nonetheless, someone is always going to have it worse. There’s no better way to remember that than by observing some of the most hysterical or ridiculous moves in television. Take a look at our favorites:

Parks & Recreation, Season 2, Episode 15

Whether you’re a fan of the show or have never watched an episode, this is must-see TV. Tom Haverford (played by Aziz Ansari) is a lovable but mischievous egoist in the Parks & Recreation department of Pawnee, Indiana. Tom guilt-trips a handful of his co-workers into moving his things from one house to the next. Of course, he goes on a royal power trip at the sight of his friends carrying all his things. This episode even features an automated vacuum that functions as a DJ (shout-out to DJ Roomba!).

Max Keeble’s Big Move

If you were a tween in the early 2000s, you probably already know the lore of Max Keeble. A normal neighborhood kid with a big imagination, Keeble decides to get even with everyone who has picked on him after he finds out his parents are moving. Unfortunately, they ultimately decide to stay in the neighborhood, and he finds himself in more than a few sticky situations.

The Simpsons, Season 8, Episode 2

Presented with the career opportunity of a lifetime, Homer Simpson and his family pack their bags and head off to a new town. What Homer doesn’t realize, though, is that his new boss may be a bit more sinister than other businessmen. Grade-A hijinks ensue.
